Q. How long does it take to ship?
A. We usually ship everything via UPS 2nd Day Air. We can ship overnight for an additional charge.
Q. What types of payments do you accept?
A. In our store we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, checks or cash. Orders placed over the telephone or by mail may be paid for by personal check, cashiers check, money order, bank wire, or credit card check. We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express for full payment on watches priced $2,000 or less. For watches priced above $2,000, Visa, Mastercard and American Express can only be used as a deposit towards your purchase.
Q. Do you have a retail store or are you just an internet company?
A. We have an actual store located in Rockville Maryland, just north of Washington, D.C. We have been operating a full service, family owned jewelry store since 1985.
Q. What is an “Authorized Dealer” or “Official Dealer”?
A. These terms describe any company that buys their merchandise exclusively from one manufacturer at a significant discount. In return, the manufacturer requires the “Authorized Dealer” to conform to the manufacturer’s pricing guidelines. In other words, authorized dealers get a deep discount on their merchandise from the manufacturer but typically don’t discount their merchandise to customers very much, if at all.
Q. Is Alan Furman & Co. an “Authorized Dealer”?
A. Alan Furman & Co. is not an “Authorized Dealer” for most of the brands that we sell. We have chosen not to be an “Authorized Dealer” so that we can offer you the best value for your money.
Q. If you’re not buying directly from the manufacturer, how do you get your merchandise?
A. We purchase all of our products from other jewelry stores, authorized dealers, and respected industry wholesalers.
Q. Do your watches come with serial numbers?
A. Every timepiece we sell comes complete with all boxes, warranty paperwork, instruction manuals, and serial numbers.
Q. Are Alan Furman & Co.’s products new?
A. All of the new timepieces that we sell are factory fresh, current production models, in perfect working condition. They come complete with all boxes, tags, warranty paperwork, instruction manuals, and serial numbers. We also sell certified pre-owned watches that are featured on a separate page on our website.
Q. Do your products come with a warranty?
A. We honor the full manufacturer’s warranty on all of the products that we sell. We will always provide you with an Alan Furman & Co. warranty certificate with your purchase.
Q. Do I get the manufacturer’s warranty?
A. Because Alan Furman & Co. is not an authorized dealer for many of the products that we sell, the manufacturer may or may not honor their original warranty. Alan Furman & Co. will always honor the full manufacturer’s warranty and repair your product at no cost to you during the warranty period.
