Rose gold, steel and diamonds in the small Panthère: a 30.3mm by 22.0mm case whose 18K rose gold bezel is set with brilliant-cut diamonds, on a bracelet with rose gold links running through the steel. Beside steel, rose gold reads pink rather than yellow, so the stones sit against a soft, blush-toned frame instead of a bright one, and the effect is gentler than any yellow gold version. Within the stones, the silvered dial keeps its Roman numerals and railway minute track, and the sword hands are blued steel. The crown holds a blue synthetic spinel. Powered by quartz, it is water-resistant to 30 metres. Of the two diamond-set references in rose gold and steel, this is the smaller, and the one to choose for a wearer who favours rose gold jewellery but wants the everyday ease of a steel bracelet.
