Forty-four brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 0.28 carat ring the bezel of this medium Panthère, set into steel rather than gold so the stones read as brightness against a cool surround instead of warmth against a warm one. The case is 36.5mm by 26.7mm, the larger of the two mid-range sizes, which lets the setting run the full length of each side. Behind it the dial is unchanged and deliberately restrained: a silvered ground, a railway minute track, black Roman numerals and sword hands in blued steel. A blue synthetic spinel tops the octagonal crown, a quartz movement runs it, and the case is water-resistant to 30 metres; the bracelet is polished steel throughout. Of the two diamond-set Panthères made in steel alone, this is the larger.
