The mini model is the smallest Panthère de Cartier in the range, a steel case measuring 25.1mm by 18.5mm that sits almost flush with the bracelet it belongs to. It is the only one of the current sizes whose silvered dial carries no inner railway track — the black Roman numerals run straight to the edge, which keeps a small dial legible rather than busy. The octagonal crown is set with a blue synthetic spinel, and blued-steel sword hands supply the only other colour. What makes the Panthère recognisable at any size is the bracelet: five columns of polished steel links articulating so freely the watch drapes across the wrist instead of resting on it. Quartz movement, water-resistant to 30 metres. For a wearer who treats a watch as jewellery first, this is the reference that disappears most easily under a cuff.
