Cartier's skeleton Santos does something no other openworked watch does: the bridges of the movement are shaped into the Roman numerals themselves, so the thing you read the time from is the mechanism rather than a dial laid over it. Calibre 9611 MC is built for it — 138 parts, 20 jewels, hand-wound, with roughly 72 hours in reserve. There is no dial at all, which is why the watch looks lighter than a 39.8mm steel case has any right to. Bracelet on SmartLink, alligator strap on QuickSwitch, and the movement visible from both sides.
