Diamonds and a steel bracelet is the combination that makes this Lady Serenade a day watch rather than an evening one. The 52 brilliant-cut stones on the bezel would look formal on an alligator strap; on broad polished links they read as an ordinary brightness, part of the same reflective surface as the bracelet itself, and the watch can be worn without ceremony. The silver dial stays deliberately quiet under all that - applied rhodium-plated indexes, Roman numerals at twelve, three and nine, a small date at six - because a decorated dial inside a diamond bezel gives the eye nowhere to rest. A brilliant-cut diamond sits in the crown. The automatic Calibre 39-22 runs behind a sapphire case back with its swan-neck fine adjustment on view.
