This is the version of the gold-dot dial to buy if the watch has to work every day. The bracelet is polished steel with broad cushioned links, the bezel is plain, and all the decoration is kept inside the dial where it is protected - a spray of fine gold dots forming the minute track, diamonds set at the hours, and a white mother-of-pearl ground shifting through pink and green as the light moves. Warm gold against cool steel would be a risk on a painted dial; on shell it works, because the mother-of-pearl carries both temperatures at once depending on the angle. The crown is topped with an onyx cabochon, the small date sits at six, and the automatic Calibre 39-22 is visible through a sapphire case back.
