This is the Pavonina at its most restrained, and the only one of the three where the dial is worked metal rather than shell. An anthracite ground carries a fine radial guilloche that runs outward from a smooth centre, so the surface changes from matte to striated as it approaches the edge and the light breaks up across it. Diamonds mark the hours and reappear on the strap attachments, which is an unusual place to set stones and has the effect of framing the case rather than decorating it. The cushion shape comes from the 1920s, when that softly squared form was at its most popular. A grey satin strap keeps the whole watch in one tonal register, and the date sits at six o'clock.
