Steel case, black dial, rhodium-plated indexes - this is the most restrained of the Sixties Panorama Date references, and the one that most resembles a working watch rather than a period piece. With no gold anywhere on the dial, the only bright elements are the polished markers, the white numerals and the date, which makes the large white Panorama Date at six o'clock unusually prominent. That display is Glashütte Original's own: two discs mounted on the same level so the digits meet without the dividing line that gives most big-date mechanisms away. The domed dial and the curved retro Arabic numerals keep the 1960s reference intact underneath the sober colour scheme. The 42mm steel case houses the automatic Calibre 39-47, beating at 4 Hz with 40 hours in reserve.
