The 41mm Pilot's Chronograph is IWC's answer to a long-standing complaint — that its pilot's watches had grown too large for most wrists. The dial layout is unchanged from the bigger references: triangle at twelve with two dots, luminous Arabic numerals, a day and date window at three, and two chronograph counters. What changed is the movement. The in-house calibre 69385 uses a bi-directional pawl winding system and gives about forty-six hours, and it is visible through a tinted sapphire back rather than hidden behind a soft-iron cage.
