Ceramic all the way through - case, bezel and bracelet - is what makes this AIKON different from a steel watch with a black coating. A PVD finish wears through at the edges eventually; ceramic is the same colour to its core, so the sandblasted surface will look the same in ten years as it does now, and it is considerably harder to scratch. The tradeoff is weight, and this wears lighter than its 42mm suggests. Everything on the dial is tuned to the same monochrome: black clous de Paris hobnail, black-plated indexes and matte black hands, with white Super-LumiNova the only break. The date sits at three. The ML115 shows through an open sapphire back, and the six claw bezel fixings remain the line's signature.
