Clous de Paris is a hobnail pattern of tiny raised pyramids, and on a silver dial it does something a flat surface cannot: each pyramid catches light on one face and shades on another, so the dial reads as texture from close up and as a soft even shimmer from arm's length. That is the whole character of this reference. Everything else is deliberately plain - applied rhodium-plated indexes, matching hands, a date at three - because the pattern is doing the work. At 39mm this is the smaller of the two AIKON Automatic Date sizes and the more classically proportioned of the pair. The six claw bezel fixings are the line's signature, and the ML115 inside runs 38 hours and can be watched through the sapphire back.
