Snoopy in his spacesuit rides on the dial of this Speedmaster, an embossed silver medallion set into the blue small-seconds subdial at nine o'clock. He is there for the Silver Snoopy Award, which NASA's astronauts presented to Omega in 1970 in recognition of its part in bringing the Apollo 13 crew home safely. Around him, a silver dial with blue subdials, blue PVD hands and angled blue hour markers sits in a 42mm steel case, under a blue ceramic bezel ring with a white enamel tachymeter scale. The story carries on through the case back: start the chronograph and Snoopy's command module circles the sapphire, while an Earth disc turns once a minute with the small seconds. The blue coated nylon strap has a grained calf leather lining embossed with Apollo 13's flight path. Power comes from the manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861, resistant to 15,000 gauss. Omega makes it as a regular production model rather than a numbered edition.
