Blue-grey with a vertical and horizontal satin finish Patek calls 'shantung', after the silk — the two directions catch light differently, so the dial appears to change tone as the wrist moves. In 38mm white gold, with applied numerals in white luminescent coating. The complication is the Annual Calendar: day and month by hands, date in an aperture, and a movement that knows every month has thirty or thirty-one days, so it needs correcting only once a year at the end of February. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S QA LU. Its rose gold sibling, the 4946R-001, carries a chestnut dial instead and reads considerably warmer.
