The only steel watch in this group, and an Annual Calendar — a combination Patek makes sparingly. A blue 'shantung' dial, satin-finished in two directions so the tone moves with the light, with white gold applied numerals and leaf-shaped hands. In a 38mm steel case on a steel bracelet, which is what the /1 in the reference denotes. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S QA LU shows day and month by hands with a date aperture, and needs correcting once a year. Steel makes the complication less obvious than it is in gold — the watch reads as a plain three-hander from a distance, and the calendar only announces itself close up. That understatement is most of its appeal.
