About this product
An ivory lacquered dial in a 42mm white gold case — the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, and the reference that moved the model away from the blue it launched in. Two pushers on the left step local time forward or back an hour at a time, with a home-time hand beneath and day/night indicators for both zones. Blackened white gold applied numerals with luminescent coating, and a charcoal grey local-time hand. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S C FUS. Lacquer gives a flatter, deeper surface than varnish or opaline; against white gold the ivory reads almost as bone rather than white, and it is the reason this version looks older than the watch actually is.
