This Rolex 1908 sets an intense black dial in a slim 39mm case of 18 ct yellow gold with a fluted bezel, and fits it to a Settimo bracelet in 18 ct yellow gold that closes with a concealed Crownclasp. Black against yellow gold gives the dial strong contrast, and its small seconds at 6 o'clock leaves the center to the hour and minute hands. The case has curved lugs and a transparent sapphire case back, behind which the openwork yellow gold oscillating weight of calibre 7140 turns over Côtes de Genève striping. Self-winding and certified as a Superlative Chronometer, the movement holds about 66 hours of power reserve, its daily rate kept between two seconds slow and two seconds fast after casing. Water resistance is 50 meters. With the Settimo bracelet, this Rolex 1908 is gold from case to clasp.
