White gold and a black dial make this the most severe of the 1908s, and from a distance it gives away nothing at all — the case reads as steel and the watch reads as plain. That restraint is the argument for it. The fluted bezel is solid white gold, the strap black alligator, and the sapphire back shows calibre 7140 with Côtes de Genève decoration and an openwork weight in yellow gold, running about sixty-six hours.
