The green dial gold Daytona carries a nickname it inherited rather than earned: collectors called the previous generation the John Mayer, after the musician wore his, and the name has followed the colour onto this reference as the John Mayer 2.0. Green on gold is a difficult combination that works because the dial is deep enough to read almost black at an angle, with the golden counters lifting it back towards warmth. Everything is 18 ct yellow gold — case, bezel, pushers, crown, bracelet — and the tachymetric scale is engraved into the metal. Calibre 4131 sits inside with roughly seventy-two hours in reserve.
