Against 18 ct white gold, the red ombré dial set with diamonds stands out sharply on this Rolex Datejust 31, framed by a white gold bezel set with diamonds and carried on a President bracelet in white gold. Its hours are picked out by diamonds in 18 kt gold settings, echoing the stones around the bezel. With white metal and diamonds all around it, the graduated red of the ombré dial carries the watch. A Cyclops lens tops the date, which sits at 3 o'clock and changes instantaneously. Calibre 2236 is the movement, a self-winding Superlative Chronometer with Paraflex shock absorbers, a silicon Syloxi hairspring and about 55 hours of power reserve. The 31mm Oyster case is sealed by a Twinlock crown and waterproof to 100 meters. In white gold, this Rolex Datejust 31 keeps its metal cool so its dial can run warm.
