Set on the Jubilee bracelet, this Rolex Datejust 36 in Oystersteel combines a green ombré dial, applied index markers and a domed bezel. The Jubilee's smaller, more numerous links soften the steel and give the watch a dressier drape, which suits a dial whose green gathers depth as it moves outward. Index markers rather than numerals leave that gradient uninterrupted. The date at 3 o'clock changes instantaneously beneath the Cyclops lens, and the Twinlock winding crown screws down against the case to keep it water resistant to 100 meters. Calibre 3235 is a Superlative Chronometer, accurate to within two seconds a day, fast or slow, once cased, and its hairspring, in blue Parachrom, is paramagnetic. On the Jubilee, this Rolex Datejust 36 brings color to steel without looking like a sports watch.
