On this Rolex Datejust 36, diamonds serve as the hour markers of a chocolate dial, framed by Everose Rolesor and a domed Everose gold bezel, on the Oyster bracelet. Each diamond sits in an 18 kt gold setting, a point of light against the deep brown. Plainer, heavier-looking links on the Oyster bracelet take some formality out of a gem-set dial, so the watch suits a weekday as well as an occasion. Calibre 3235 has a precision after casing of plus or minus two seconds a day, and it keeps running for about 70 hours. An Easylink comfort extension inside the Oysterclasp adds 5mm when the wrist needs it, and the screw-down Twinlock crown protects the case's 100-meter water resistance.
