The Oyster bracelet gives this Rolex Datejust 36 a more assertive look, here in Yellow Rolesor, where a bright black dial with Roman numerals sits within a domed yellow gold bezel. Black and gold already make a forceful combination, and the bracelet's plain, wide links push it in a sportier direction. The Roman numerals hold on to a measure of formality, so the watch never tips fully into sports territory. Its monobloc middle case, screw-down case back and Twinlock crown keep the watch water resistant to 100 meters. Behind that back, the self-winding calibre 3235 runs on for about 70 hours.
