Applied index markers on an olive green dial, rather than Roman numerals, set this Rolex Datejust 36 in Yellow Rolesor apart, with a domed yellow gold bezel and the Jubilee bracelet. The indexes give the dial a cleaner, more contemporary look, and the olive reads almost as a neutral beside the gold. The date at 3 o'clock, under its Cyclops lens, takes the place of one marker. The Jubilee brings the opposite influence, its fine two-metal links adding a dressier finish. Calibre 3235 has Paraflex shock absorbers and a Chronergy escapement, and a full wind lasts about 70 hours. Water resistance is 100 meters, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. Balancing clean markers against an ornate bracelet, this Rolex Datejust 36 sits neatly between sport and dress.
