Cased in Everose Rolesor, this Rolex Datejust 36 carries a slate dial of Roman numerals whose VI and IX are set with diamonds, inside a fluted bezel of Everose gold and on a Jubilee bracelet. Slate is a cool, deep shade, and it tempers the warmth of the Everose gold rather than echoing it. Those two numerals are 18 kt gold, with 24 diamonds between them, and on that dark ground they draw the eye straight away. The Jubilee adds a sparkle of its own along the wrist, and the Oysterclasp has an Easylink comfort extension of 5mm. Calibre 3235 runs the watch: self-winding, a Superlative Chronometer, with a Chronergy escapement and roughly 70 hours of reserve. The date jumps instantly at three o'clock under the Cyclops lens, and this Rolex Datejust 36 is water resistant to 100 meters.
