Roman numerals on a silver dial, with the VI and IX set in diamonds, sit inside the fluted yellow gold bezel of this Rolex Datejust 36, a Yellow Rolesor watch on the Jubilee bracelet. Silver is pale and cool, so the yellow gold brings the warmth and the diamonds the brilliance. Twenty-four of them share the two numerals, both in 18 kt gold, and on silver they show as a gentle shimmer rather than a hard contrast. The Jubilee carries that brightness down the wrist in slender links to an Oysterclasp with Easylink, good for 5mm of extra room. Calibre 3235 is self-winding, a certified Superlative Chronometer, and keeps going for approximately 70 hours. A sapphire crystal with its Cyclops lens covers the date at three o'clock, which changes instantaneously, and this Rolex Datejust 36 resists water to 100 meters.
