Yellow Rolesor and a fluted yellow gold bezel surround the bright black dial of this Rolex Datejust 36, which carries Roman numerals and comes on the Oyster bracelet. The black deepens the gold around it, so the fluting looks richer and more sculpted. On the broad Oyster bracelet, black and gold read as strong and sober rather than glamorous. Roman numerals give the dial a formal outline, and the Cyclops lens magnifies a date that changes instantaneously. The clasp is an Oysterclasp with an Easylink comfort extension that adds 5mm. Its calibre 3235 winds itself, runs roughly 70 hours when fully wound and uses the Chronergy escapement and Paraflex shock absorbers. Rolex certifies the movement as a Superlative Chronometer. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a Twinlock crown help seal this Rolex Datejust 36 to 100 meters.
