Pale tones run through this Rolex Datejust 36: a silver dial, its Roman numerals joined by diamonds at VI and IX, a fluted white gold bezel, White Rolesor and the Jubilee bracelet. Free of warm metal, the watch trades color for light and texture. The VI and IX, 18 kt gold holding 24 stones, blend into the silver instead of standing apart. The Jubilee adds more texture still, its links shifting with the wrist, and its Oysterclasp opens up a further 5mm with Easylink. Calibre 3235, with its Chronergy escapement, is self-winding, certified as a Superlative Chronometer and good for approximately 70 hours. The Cyclops lens on a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal enlarges the date, which changes instantaneously, and the monobloc Oyster case, with its Twinlock crown, makes this Rolex Datejust 36 water resistant to 100 meters.
