The bright black diamond-set dial on the Oyster bracelet rather than the Jubilee, which changes the character more than the specification suggests: the flatter three-link band gives the diamonds a heavier, more architectural setting to sit in. Black is the right ground for them — there is no dial texture to compete, so the eight applied stones and the bezel do all the reading. The 36mm Everose Rolesor case pairs Oystersteel with 18 ct Everose gold, Rolex's patented rose alloy with a trace of platinum in it to stop the colour drifting. Calibre 3235, roughly seventy hours, Superlative Chronometer certified.
