Inside a diamond-set Everose gold bezel, this Rolex Datejust 36 shows a slate dial whose Roman numerals include diamond-set VI and IX, and it wears a Jubilee bracelet in Everose Rolesor. The two gem-set numerals are 18 kt gold and hold 24 diamonds between them, adding points of light at six and nine o'clock that balance the date window at three. Slate is a cool, stony shade, and it makes a calm backdrop for the stones and for the pink warmth of the gold that surrounds it. The Jubilee's fine, articulated links carry that brilliance down the wrist with a supple feel. The 36mm Oyster case pairs Oystersteel with Everose gold, and with its screw-down Twinlock crown it is waterproof to 100 meters. The Rolex Datejust 36 runs on calibre 3235, which holds about 70 hours of reserve.
