On this Rolex Datejust 36, a slate dial with Roman numerals, its VI and IX set with diamonds, sits within a diamond-set Everose gold bezel, matched to an Oyster bracelet in Everose Rolesor. Rolex forms the VI and IX in 18 kt gold and sets them with 24 diamonds, so the six and nine o'clock positions glint while the other numerals stay unset. Because slate is muted and slightly cool, the gem-setting does not look busy, and the Everose gold reads warmer by contrast. The Oyster bracelet's wide, flat links in Oystersteel and Everose gold lend a tailored, solid silhouette. Beneath the sapphire crystal, the Cyclops lens magnifies the date at 3 o'clock. The Rolex Datejust 36 runs on calibre 3235, certified as a Superlative Chronometer and regulated after casing to within two seconds of true each day, with roughly 70 hours of power reserve.
