A silver dial with Roman numerals and diamond-set VI and IX gives this Rolex Datejust 36 a bright, cool face inside a warm frame: a diamond-set yellow gold bezel and a Jubilee bracelet in Yellow Rolesor. Silver tempers the richness of the gold, and it lets the diamonds blend into the dial instead of standing apart from it. Rolex sets 24 diamonds into the VI and IX, both of 18 kt gold, a quiet echo of the larger ring of stones on the bezel. The Jubilee bracelet keeps the steel and gold mix flowing in small, supple links. Calibre 3235 drives it with the Chronergy escapement and Paraflex shock absorbers, and its power reserve runs to approximately 70 hours. A Cyclops lens on the crystal makes the 3 o'clock date easy to read, and water resistance on this Rolex Datejust 36 reaches 100 meters.
