A dark grey dial with Roman numerals and diamond-set VI and IX anchors this Rolex Datejust 36, which also has a diamond-set white gold bezel and a Jubilee bracelet in White Rolesor. The dark grey is deep and close to charcoal, and it gives white gold and diamonds a strong, moody contrast. Against it, the VI and IX, worked in 18 kt gold and set with a combined 24 diamonds, stand out brightly beside the plainer numerals. The Jubilee bracelet brings a lighter, more fluid touch to a serious dial, its links catching light along the wrist. Calibre 3235 gives roughly 70 hours of running time and uses the Chronergy escapement, and the Rolex Datejust 36, its Twinlock crown screwed down, is water-resistant to 100 meters.
