With an Oyster bracelet in White Rolesor and a bezel of diamond-set white gold, this Rolex Datejust 36 frames a dark grey dial that carries Roman numerals and diamond-set VI and IX. Dark grey and white metal make a sober, tailored combination, and the Oyster bracelet's flat links reinforce that businesslike feel. Even this restrained dial gets a flash of brilliance, because 24 diamonds sit in its VI and IX, each numeral made in 18 kt gold. Around the edge, the bezel diamonds supply a second, larger ring of light. Calibre 3235, the engine of the Rolex Datejust 36, holds Superlative Chronometer certification and is cushioned by Paraflex shock absorbers, and with its case back screwed down, the Oyster case keeps out water to 330 feet.
