Bright black in 41mm steel with a smooth bezel — the highest-contrast dial in the plainest case Rolex offers at this size. Black lacquer, applied index markers, polished hands, and nothing else; the legibility is the point. On the flat three-link Oyster bracelet it reads as a serious, unfussy watch. Calibre 3235 inside: roughly seventy hours of reserve, blue Parachrom hairspring, monobloc middle case sealed by a screw-down back. Water resistant to 100 metres with the Twinlock crown screwed home.
