For evening wear, this Rolex Datejust 41 has every formal element in place, with Roman numerals on its bright black dial, a fluted Everose gold bezel, and Everose Rolesor for both the case and the Jubilee bracelet. Black gives the rose gold nothing to compete with, so the Everose looks deeper and richer than it would beside a pale dial. The fluting and the Jubilee's slender links break that color into scattered highlights, which gives the watch real sparkle without loosening its composure. The Roman numerals suit the mood exactly. Inside, calibre 3235 runs for some 70 hours unworn and uses Paraflex shock absorbers alongside a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. Scratch-resistant sapphire covers the dial, and an Easylink extension within the Oysterclasp gives this Rolex Datejust 41 an extra 5mm of bracelet length.
