Ten baguette-cut diamonds mark the hours on the blue-green dial of this Rolex Day-Date 36, which wears a fluted bezel and President bracelet in 18 ct Everose gold. Rolex lists the dial as blue-green set with diamonds, and its cool tone plays against the pink of the gold. On a colored ground like this, each clear baguette shows with real contrast. Calibre 3255 combines a Chronergy escapement with a blue Parachrom hairspring and banks about 70 hours of running time. A screw-down Twinlock crown helps seal the Oyster case to 100 meters. The name Day-Date comes from its two calendar displays: the day in words at 12 o’clock, the date at 3. Fastening out of sight, the concealed Crownclasp leaves the Rolex Day-Date 36 in uninterrupted Everose.
