Green and gold meet on this Rolex Day-Date 36: a green ombré dial with Roman numerals, set in an 18 ct yellow gold case with a fluted bezel and a matching President bracelet. Toward the edge the green grows steadily darker, which is the effect the word ombré describes. Against yellow gold, that deep green looks rich rather than loud, and the Roman numerals lend it a formal air. Calibre 3255 drives the watch, a self-winding movement with close to 70 hours of power reserve. A Cyclops lens magnifies the date at 3 o’clock, and the day appears in full across the top at 12. Water resistance reaches 100 meters, with a screw-down case back sealing the Oyster case. Its Crownclasp stays hidden beneath the bracelet, giving the Rolex Day-Date 36 a clean sweep of gold.
