A champagne-colour dial with ten baguette-cut diamonds for hour markers sits within the fluted bezel of this 18 ct yellow gold Rolex Day-Date 36, on a President bracelet of the same gold. Dial and metal are close neighbors in tone, so the diamonds supply nearly all of the contrast, flashing white across a field of soft gold. Calibre 3255 makes this Rolex Day-Date 36 an officially certified Superlative Chronometer, its precision measured once the movement is in its case. The date is instantaneous, jumping cleanly at 3 when the day turns over rather than creeping across, and the weekday stands in full across the top. The Oyster case holds water at bay to a depth of 330 feet. Beneath the bracelet, a concealed Crownclasp keeps the yellow gold uninterrupted around the wrist.
