Cased in 18 ct white gold, from the fluted bezel down to the President bracelet, this Rolex Day-Date 36 has a blue ombré dial with Roman numerals. Its color concentrates toward the outer edge, so the blue looks deepest around the numerals and lightest at the center. Bright white gold makes a clean frame for it, and the fluting gives the bezel a crisp edge of light. Calibre 3255 relies on a Chronergy escapement and runs for roughly 70 hours on a full wind. The day and date appear at 12 and 3 o’clock, the day spelled out in full. Over the dial sits a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and the Oyster case holds firm to 100 meters. When fastened, the Crownclasp disappears under the bracelet, leaving the Rolex Day-Date 36 a continuous band of white gold.
