This Rolex Day-Date 36 encloses a white mother-of-pearl dial and its ten baguette-cut diamond markers in 18 ct white gold, which continues into the fluted bezel and the President bracelet. Being a natural material, mother-of-pearl varies between dials, so the play of color here belongs to this watch. White gold, nacre and colorless diamonds keep the palette cool, and the bezel's fluting adds a crisp, ridged outline. Under a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the date advances in a single jump, and a window at 12 carries the name of the day.
