White gold frames a pink dial on this Rolex Day-Date 36, with ten baguette-cut diamonds as hour markers, a fluted bezel and a President bracelet of the same gold. Rolex’s name for the dial is pink set with diamonds, and the white metal keeps the color cool and clean. Each baguette picks up light at its hour, sharp and bright against the pink. Within the case, calibre 3255 uses Paraflex shock absorbers and stores about 70 hours of power. Down to 100 meters, the Oyster case keeps the Rolex Day-Date 36 dry inside. The calendar completes the dial: the day named in full at 12 o’clock and an instantaneous date at 3. Underneath, a concealed Crownclasp holds the bracelet closed, keeping the white gold unbroken all around.
