Diamonds circle the bezel and ten baguette-cut diamonds sit at the hours of a white mother-of-pearl dial on this 18 ct Everose gold Rolex Day-Date 36, whose President bracelet is plain Everose. Mother-of-pearl forms inside a shell, and the soft iridescence that moves across its white surface is particular to each dial. Everose and nacre balance warm against cool, and the baguettes lay crisp, straight lines over the shimmer. With nothing set into the bracelet, the brilliance stays gathered around the face. Calibre 3255 relies on a blue Parachrom hairspring, which is paramagnetic, and keeps running for about 70 hours once the watch comes off. Under scratch-resistant sapphire, the full weekday occupies the top of the dial and the date its window at 3. The Crownclasp is concealed beneath the links, so this Rolex Day-Date 36 wears its bracelet as a smooth band of rose-toned gold.
