Yellow gold and diamonds surround a white dial with Roman numerals on this Rolex Day-Date 36, which pairs a diamond-set bezel with diamond-set center links on its 18 ct yellow gold President bracelet. The white dial gives the Rolex Day-Date 36 a calm center between all that gold and the stones. Its Roman numerals keep the layout traditional and readable, a counterweight to the diamonds. Against the white, the day reads clearly in full at 12 o’clock, as does the date at 3. Inside, a self-winding calibre 3255 can run for roughly 70 hours unworn. Its crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire, and the Oyster case resists water to 330 feet. Once closed, the Crownclasp hides beneath the bracelet, so the eye follows the diamond-set center links instead.
