This Rolex Day-Date 36 pairs 18 ct yellow gold with a dial in champagne-colour set with diamonds, then adds a diamond-set bezel and sets diamonds into the center links of the President bracelet. Its ten baguette-cut diamonds work as hour markers against a soft gold tone that echoes the case. Tone on tone is the idea, and the stones supply all the contrast. Both the Twinlock crown and the case back screw down, closing the Oyster case against water to 100 meters. Beneath the dial, calibre 3255 uses a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and sustains a reserve of around 70 hours. The day runs in full across the 12 o’clock position, and the date at 3 sits under a Cyclops lens. Fastened, the bracelet hides its Crownclasp, and the Rolex Day-Date 36 presents nothing but gold and diamonds around the wrist.
