Blue and white do all the talking on this Rolex Day-Date 36: a bright blue dial with ten baguette-cut diamonds at the hours, a diamond-set bezel, and 18 ct white gold for both the case and the President bracelet, whose center links are set with diamonds. The blue is saturated and clear, and white gold does nothing to warm it, so the color stays crisp. Stones at the hours, around the bezel and along the bracelet carry the eye from dial to wrist. The calendar gives the weekday its full name at 12 o'clock and the date its window at 3. Calibre 3255, fitted with a Chronergy escapement, carries Superlative Chronometer certification, and the finished watch keeps time within a two-second margin each day, in either direction. A concealed Crownclasp closes the bracelet, so nothing interrupts the run of white gold and diamonds around this Rolex Day-Date 36.
