This Rolex Day-Date 36 in 18 ct white gold puts diamonds in three places: on its diamond-set bezel, at the hours of its pink dial, where ten baguette-cut diamonds serve as markers, and along the President bracelet's center links. Pink is a soft, warm color, and white gold keeps it light rather than sugary. Baguettes are long, rectangular stones, so each hour is marked by a slim bar of brilliance instead of a single point. There are ten because 12 and 3 belong to the calendar: the day, spelled out at the top, and the date under its Cyclops lens. Powering this Rolex Day-Date 36 is calibre 3255, equipped with a Chronergy escapement, a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Even the clasp stays hidden, a concealed Crownclasp folded into the bracelet.
