A stone dial in pink opal brings soft color to this Rolex Day-Date 36 in 18 ct white gold, and it is set with diamonds twice over: 32 in its 18 ct gold hour markers and 24 more in the Roman numerals VI and IX, beneath a diamond-set bezel. Being natural stone, each opal dial varies gently in tone. The diamond-set VI and IX sit directly across the dial from the day aperture at 12 and the date window at 3, which gives the layout a quiet symmetry. Inside is calibre 3255, a self-winding movement with a Chronergy escapement and a blue Parachrom hairspring, accurate to between minus two and plus two seconds a day once cased. Its President bracelet, also white gold, shuts with a concealed Crownclasp. Pastel color and real brilliance meet in this Rolex Day-Date 36.
