A silver dial set with ten baguette-cut diamonds sits at the cool center of a Rolex Day-Date 36 whose case and President bracelet are 18 ct Everose gold and whose bezel is set with baguette-cut diamonds. Silver and diamond are close in tone, so the hour markers register through brilliance rather than color, and the dial looks bright and clean. All the warmth comes from the Everose, which surrounds that pale center on every side. The calendar reads easily against the silver, the weekday in full at 12 o'clock and the date at 3. The Oyster case is built from a monobloc middle case, a screw-down case back and a screw-down Twinlock crown, together sealed to 100 meters. Calibre 3255, a Superlative Chronometer with a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, keeps about 70 hours in reserve for the Rolex Day-Date 36.
