Depth is what a blue ombré dial brings to the Rolex Day-Date 36, and this one pairs it with Roman numerals, a 950 platinum case, a bezel of baguette-cut diamonds and a President bracelet in platinum. The blue starts clear and bright at the center and darkens steadily toward the edge, until it is nearly navy where it meets the stones. Platinum's pale gray-white keeps the frame neutral, so the gradient and the diamonds hold the eye. Roman numerals sit over the shading and keep the dial formal. Day and date take separate windows, the full weekday at 12 o'clock and the date at 3. Behind the dial, calibre 3255 holds roughly 70 hours in reserve and is officially certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The platinum bracelet closes on a concealed Crownclasp, and the Oyster case keeps this Rolex Day-Date 36 watertight to 100 meters.
